It’s time for our fifth installment of our NEW Sunday Research Pipeline posts.
Remember, these are quick glances at stocks that have not yet been included in our MS Microcap Quality Index (MSMqi), but have reached the on deck circle for possible inclusion if further research warrants the move.
It also gives some of you that like doing research an avenue to take closer looks at stocks before we get around to digging deeper.
Today’s Research Journal installment includes three stocks:
Stock 1: A boring industrial company, where an activist investor is pushing for change that could result in tens of millions of dollars of cost saving and cashflow accretion.
Stock 2: A fintech company providing lending services to the underbanked that has grown at a high rate for 5 straight years.
Stock 3: A company that sells products to the military markets that, after 10 years of losses, might be on the cusp of a major profitable turnaround. It’s certainly servicing the right industry at the right time.
While all three of these companies range from nanocap to small-cap, they all have substantial revenue and market presence. Two have have been around for over 80 years.
So far, the average return of the 7 stocks written about in our prior Research Journal posts since the end of May are up 22%, with one reaching the 100% mark.
