After ACFN’s Q3 selloff, investors are humming a familiar tune by the British band, The Clash: “Should I stay or should I go?”

We think the answer is simple for some and not so simple for others.

Since ACFN 0.00%↑ is in our Microcap Quality Index platform (MSMqi) and was down sharply last week on its Q3 earnings report, we are sharing a guest post from GeoInvesting on what really happened, what investors should have known going into the report and what really matters for short-term and long-term investors.

It’s worth noting that even though ACFN was down last week, it’s still up 27% since we added it to the MSMqi Platform, but off it’s high of 164%.

Acorn Energy is a leader in wireless remote monitoring and control solutions for stand-by power generators, gas pipelines, air compressors and other industrial equipment.

The post talks about the big telecom contract that had been fueling ACFN growth until that growth stopped in Q3 2005 and how to think about the “air pocket” created by the large contract essentially being completed.

The post also includes a 5 year EPS projection and potential price targets.
